One of the most festive ways to keep warm on cool December evenings is a fiery spiced Mulled Wine. It’s a delicious combination of warmed wine, mulling spices and spirits. We’re choosing to include two spirits: Bittermens Akvavit, as it is an important part of Nordic drinking culture during the holidays and Maidenii Sweet Vermouth for its sweet and smooth flavor. Below, you will find a recipe to make a large batch of mulling spices and the measurements to serve a large group of people for any holiday bash.

  • 2 cups of halved cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups of whole cloves
  • 2 cups of allspice berries
  • 1 1/2 cups of dried orange zest
  • 1/2 cup of cardamom
  • 1/2 cup of star anise
