  3. Victoria’s Wind Cries Mary Re-Opens For Charity

As the province of BC reopened this summer, one Victoria restaurant, Wind Cries Mary, decided to step up and give back to the community as they kicked off their reopening on June 29th with a Charitable Fundraiser for the BC Black History Awareness Society (BCBHAS) and the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS).

We were proud to support by donating bottles of Avuá Cachaça to the event and a huge shoutout goes to our Vancouver Island TM, Shrawan Khanna, who helped make this a wonderful and meaningful night. Amongst the evenings cocktail pairings and delicious food there was a silent auction of local Aboriginal Art and music provided by DJ Garth of Black and Indigenous artists. We’re proud to call these industry leaders, friends. Keep up the great work and continue to be a role model for the community.

As an addendum, we are aware that BC has been hit with new restrictions to restaurant and bar hours and operations due to an increase in Covid-19 cases. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. These are uncertain times but if we stick together we will overcome.
