Aroma: Bright and a little bready
Palate: Caraway and dill over a malty bread-like mid note
Finish: Malty and a touch of citrus
Genever and Akvavit work well together in a cocktail – the caraway from the Akvavit and the malt of the Genever combine to make an extraordinarily crisp yet remarkably rye-whisky like flavor profile. We took inspiration from both to create the first malted akvavit: Solståndet, named for the spring solstice.
